"Anh em sẽ lo buồn, nhưng nỗi buồn của anh em sẽ trở thành niềm vui."

Nỗi lo nỗi buồn của những người miệt mài với bổn phận, với sứ mạng, với những sự kiện mà mình tổ chức. Có những cái mình đạt được, có những cái chưa thành tựu.

Đặc biệt trong lãnh vực tông đồ, rất nỗ lực, nhưng con số tín hữu khôn thấy tăng lên. ĐGH chia sẻ: loan báo Tin Mừng không phải là kết nạp vào đạo: 

"Evangelization is not proselytizing. This was the focus of Pope Francis’ remarks to faithful gathered for Mass on Wednesday morning in the Chapel of the Domus Sanctae Marthae residence in the Vatican. The Pope reiterated that the Christian who wants to proclaim the Gospel must dialogue with everyone, knowing that no one owns the truth, because the truth is received by the encounter with Jesus..."

"When the Church loses this apostolic courage, she becomes a stalled Church, a tidy Church a nice, a Church that is nice to look at, but that is without fertility, because she has lost the courage to go to the outskirts, where there are many people who are victims of idolatry, worldliness of weak thought, [of] so many things. Let us today ask St Paul to give us this apostolic courage, this spiritual fervor, so that we might be confident. ‘But Father,’ [you might say], ‘we might make mistakes…’ ... ‘[Well, what of it,’ I might respond], ‘Get on with you: if you make a mistake, you get up and go forward: that is the way. Làm chứng

"Đấng Thầy sẽ từ nơi Cha Thầy sai đến với các con, Người là Thần Chân lý bởi Cha mà ra, Người sẽ làm chứng về Thầy." (Ga 15,26)

Hôm qua, ĐGH đề cập đến việc làm chứng cho Chúa bằng những công việc đạo đức bình dân được canh tân:

"As part of the journey of the Year of Faith, I am happy to celebrate this Eucharist dedicated in a special way to confraternities: a traditional reality in the Church, which in recent times has experienced renewal and rediscovery...

Three words – don’t forget them: Evangelical spirit, ecclesial spirit, missionary spirit.

- Evangelical spirit
Loving God and being Christ’s disciples by living the Gospel: strengthen your faith by attending to your spiritual formation, to personal and communitarian prayer, and to the liturgy.

- Ecclesial spirit
A great wealth and variety of expressions in which everything leads back to unity, the variety leads back to unity and unity to the encounter with Christ

- Missionary spirit
You have a specific and important mission, that of keeping alive the relationship between the faith and the cultures of the peoples to whom you belong. You do this through popular piety."

Những công việc đạo đức bình dân như vậy cũng được Chúa Thánh Thần dùng để làm chứng cho Chúa Giêsu.

Đối thoại?

Ai yêu mến Thầy, sẽ giữ lời Thầy, và Cha Thầy sẽ yêu mến người ấy, và Chúng Ta sẽ đến và ở trong người ấy. (Ga 14,23)

Điều răn của Chúa là yêu thương. Yêu thương như thế nào là cả một vấn đề, nhất là đối với những thế lực thù ghét mình. Dưới đây là ý kiến của Đức Giáo Hoàng Phanxicô:

“Let us always remain meek and humble, that we might defeat the empty promises and the hatred of the world.” This was the message of Pope Francis on Saturday morning during the homily at Mass in the chapel of the Domus Sanctae Marthae...

"There can be no dialogue with the prince of this world: let this be clear! Today, dialogue is necessary among us humans, it is necessary for peace. Dialogue is a habit, it is an attitude that we must have among us to feel and understand each other…and that [dialogue] must be maintained forever. Dialogue comes from charity, from love. But with that prince, it is impossible to dialogue: one can only respond with the Word of God who defends us, for the world hates us – and just as he did with Jesus, so will he do with us...

“You may ask the question,” continued Pope Francis, ‘Father, what is the weapon to defend against these seductions, from these blandishments, these enticements that the prince of this world offers?’. The weapon is the same weapon of Jesus, the Word of God - not dialogue - but always the Word of God, and then humility and meekness. We think of Jesus, when they give that slap: what humility! What meekness! He could have insulted him, no? One question, meek and humble. We think of Jesus in His Passion. Can đảm

"Các con không thuộc về thế gian, vì chính Thầy đã chọn các con khỏi thế gian, nên thế gian ghét các con." (Ga 15,19)

Câu nói trên diễn tả một cuộc chiến giữa bóng tối và ánh sáng.
Thế gian được Gioan nhắc đến ở đây là những cá nhân hay tập thể đã bị thế lực của bóng tối chiếm lĩnh.
Thế gian đây có thể là chính bản thân tôi
khi tôi để bóng tối chiếm đóng hồn mình.
Cần phải có đủ can đảm
để đón nhận ánh sáng và thuộc về ánh sáng
trong một cuộc chiến chống lại bóng tối
bằng cách vượt thoát khỏi cạm bẫy của bóng tối
và xua tan bóng tối
với Lời Chúa, với tình yêu và sự thật
chứ không phải với bạo lực và hận thù.

Sự can đảm này được ĐGH nhắc đến:


The Pope recalled how we read in the Bible that Abraham and Moses have the courage to "negotiate with the Lord."
A courage "in favor of others, in favor of the Church" which we also need today:
"When the Church loses courage, the Church enters into a ‘lukewarm’ atmosphere.
The lukewarm, lukewarm Christians, without courage ... that hurts the Church so much, because this tepid atmosphere draws you inside, and problems arise among us; we no longer have the horizon, or courage to pray towards heaven, or the courage to proclaim the Gospel.
We are lukewarm ... We have the courage to get involved in our small things in our jealousies, our envy, our careerism, in selfishly going forward ... In all these things, but this is not good for the Church: the Church must be courageous! We all have to be courageous in prayer, in challenging Jesus!".

Writing to Save the Day

Writing can be a true spiritual discipline. Writing can help us to concentrate, to get in touch with the deeper stirrings of our hearts, to clarify our minds, to process confusing emotions, to reflect on our experiences, to give artistic expression to what we are living, and to store significant events in our memories. Writing can also be good for others who might read what we write.

Quite often a difficult, painful, or frustrating day can be "redeemed" by writing about it. By writing we can claim what we have lived and thus integrate it more fully into our journeys. Then writing can become lifesaving for us and sometimes for others too. (Nouwen Meditation)

Thấy Chúa

Ông Phi-líp-phê nói: "Thưa Thầy, xin tỏ cho chúng con thấy Chúa Cha, như thế là chúng con mãn nguyện."9 Đức Giê-su trả lời: "Thầy ở với anh em bấy lâu, thế mà anh Phi-líp-phê, anh chưa biết Thầy ư? Ai thấy Thầy là thấy Chúa Cha. Sao anh lại nói: "Xin tỏ cho chúng con thấy Chúa Cha"?10 Anh không tin rằng Thầy ở trong Chúa Cha và Chúa Cha ở trong Thầy sao? Các lời Thầy nói với anh em, Thầy không tự mình nói ra. Nhưng Chúa Cha, Đấng luôn ở trong Thầy, chính Người làm những việc của mình.11 Anh em hãy tin Thầy: Thầy ở trong Chúa Cha và Chúa Cha ở trong Thầy; bằng không thì hãy tin vì công việc Thầy làm.12 Thật, Thầy bảo thật anh em, ai tin vào Thầy, thì người đó cũng sẽ làm được những việc Thầy làm. Người đó còn làm những việc lớn hơn nữa, bởi vì Thầy đến cùng Chúa Cha.13 Và bất cứ điều gì anh em nhân danh Thầy mà xin, thì Thầy sẽ làm, để Chúa Cha được tôn vinh nơi người Con.14 Nếu anh em nhân danh Thầy mà xin Thầy điều gì, thì chính Thầy sẽ làm điều đó. The Mosaic That Shows Us the Face of God

A mosaic consists of thousands of little stones. Some are blue, some are green, some are yellow, some are gold. When we bring our faces close to the mosaic, we can admire the beauty of each stone. But as we step back from it, we can see that all these little stones reveal to us a beautiful picture, telling a story none of these stones can tell by itself.

That is what our life in community is about. Each of us is like a little stone, but together we reveal the face of God to the world. Nobody can say: "I make God visible." But others who see us together can say: "They make God visible." Community is where humility and glory touch.

Lao động và phó thác

"Khi những vấn đề liên quan tới sức mua của đồng tiền sút giảm hay sự tăng vọt của giá cả so với mức tăng thu nhập cũng làm cho mọi người lo lắng hơn và có thể nói là mọi người đang có nhiều mối lo.

Nỗi lo làm sao có được việc làm, làm sao giữ được công việc đó, làm sao đảm bảo có thu nhập đảm bảo cho cuộc sống gia đình."

Chúa Giêsu hẳn cũng từng có những nỗi lo như thế. Ngài cũng từng là thợ mộc như cha nuôi Giuse của Ngài:

"Ông không phải là con bác thợ mộc ư? Mẹ ông không phải là bà Maria? và Giacôbê, Giuse, Simon và Giuđa không phải là anh em của ông sao?" (Mt 13,55)

Khi cầu nguyện: xin cho con biết noi gương Thánh Giuse, "nỗ lực lao động để nuôi sống bản thân, gia đình và làm vinh danh Chúa, hầu có thể loan truyền Lời Chúa qua cách sống lương thiện hằng ngày", ta còn thêm cả nỗi lo cho Hội Thánh Chúa nữa. Về điều này ĐTC dạy:

Chúng ta không có thể làm gì được, tất cả chúng ta đều là những đầy tớ nghèo hèn của Hội Thánh. Chính Chúa sẽ gìn giữ, thánh hóa và làm cho Hội Thánh phát triển. Chính Ngài bảo vệ Hội Thánh khỏi bị tục hóa. Vì Hội Thánh là của Chúa.

Phó thác Hội Thánh cho Chúa, phó thác cho Chúa những người già, người bệnh, trẻ em, thanh niên ..."Xin Chúa bảo vệ Hội Thánh Chúa vì Hội Thánh là của Chúa." Khi ta có tâm tình như thế, Chúa sẽ ban cho chúng ta bình an của Ngài, bình an mà thế gian không có được, bình an ngay cả giữa muôn ngàn thử thách.

Trong khi nỗ lực chu toàn tốt mọi công việc hằng ngày, chúng con xin phó thác tất cả những nỗi lo của chúng con trong tay Chúa, để chúng con có được sự bình an của Chúa, bình an giữa muôn ngàn thách đố.
